If you’d like your post to appear on this global tags page, just 1) write a new public post about tags and how you plan on using them on Xanga, 2) tag it with “xangatags” and 3) submit it. Just don’t forget to tag your post – thanks!

Okay, so here’s my thing:
If tags automatically go to this global conglomeracy, I won’t use them.
I want to tag posts for personal organisation, not to expose my posts to the entire Xanga network. There may be a thing or two I would feel up to sharing from time to time that way, and it would also be nice to have the option of making those posts global, but otherwise, tags will be a useless disappointment if I can’t restrict for whose use they’re for.
(if someone visits my site, I don’t care – let them use my tags; I just don’t want someone who’s never heard of me to immediately find me through them alone.)
How can i make my xanga page fit exactly what my computer monitor is?

hey how do you make layouts, icons, and banners???
Hi, for some reason, the editor won’t work for me at all. I have had my personal site for quite a while now, and it works on there, but on any new sites I make, it doesn’t work. When you click in the text area nothing happens, and I can’t type in there. I have to click “editor not working” and even then, I have to HTML code everything, I can’t make anything bold with CTRL+B or anything. And recently, even the plain editor won’t work. At the bottom in doesn’t have the submit. It’s missing half of the page.
Isn’t something on my computer that has caused this recent change? The only thing I can think of is we got a new firewall. It seemed to work okay before that. Is there something I can do to fix it without getting rid of this firewall?

I’d like for my “tags” module to be on my main page rather than the “subscribe to/get trial subscription” module. I know I don’t use trial subscriptions, and there is already a place to subscribe at the top of my page. I’d also like to see the chatboard on the main page.

Ok, apparently Michelle (HappyDeviant) has been shut down for some kind of cyber crime (child exploitation.) This is ridiculous because I’m a subscriber of hers for over a year now and she has NEVER posted anything like that before or anything that would warrant the shut down of her site! I have come across several HORRIBLE sites and yet she is shut off for no reason?!?! I hope this gets worked out soon!!!

This is just so unnecessary & too much….its fine to have the option/feature for others but can u guys add a feature to disable that too. I want it off my page. Its great for organizing, etc but i dont want it to be public – as in other people can search it out by tag…if i was to post something – its really just for friends…not strangers. Regardless, some people have use for it – but for those who dont – can i remove this from da site….and wats worse – its right up there above everything else. (like above subscriptions, etc) Its horrible. I can see it being hidden elsewhere on the bottom but not up top on my left links. HEck better yet, its great if i can completely remove it off the site/disable it.

they are taking over the xanga blogs as far as i know. theres TONS of them. anyways i think you should do something about it.. like maybe make more options for who can visit our site .. like keywords, by interest, location, age, etc etc. maybe even by rating? and maybe more security for signing like maybe delete pages after 2 weeks if there is only one blog entry etc.

just a suggestion: regarding the tags list page organization — it would help alot if they were separated by letters instead of being grouped together. even if the tags are alphabetically ordered, it makes it a little harder to find the tags when they’re all bunched together. how about organizing them into groups by alphabet… sort of like how Flickr does it?
