  • ADD STYLE TO YOUR TITLES

    I read through all the comments on the new titles, and noticed that a
    number of people wanted to know how to change the font and color of
    their titles.  And while I was browsing around, I spotted several
    sites that were already using CSS to design their titles.   Inspired by other Xangans, Joel and I put together a simple Help page to make it easier for users to customize their titles (without any knowledge of CSS!).

  • Very cool, but I love centered text, anyway to make the title centered?  I know enough about HTML to get me by, but not any CSS.

  • Thanks, but I want to have different titles depending on if it is public, protected or private. Your code makes it all the same for all kind of posts. I guess I have manually do it myself if this can not be done via title, but thanks for thinking up this feature.

    Talking about protected posts, have you guys worked on having multiple protected lists yet?

  • Thanks, I just used the title today and realized how much I hated the font. It didn’t match the style of my site at all.

  • Try adding

    “text-align: center;”

    just before the closing curly brace “}” for the code this makes to get the text to center. (Not tested)

  • yeah, I had CSS on my page for a while, but I’d rather be able to reference a CSS file or something… makes my life easier so I can just stick it in a file.

    i really want xanga to catch up with myspace. and a little off topic, but one thing ive always wanted on xanga is for their to be live chats in blogrings. because blogrings are all about people who share intrests, their should be live chatrooms for every blogring.

  • Awesome. Having titles that change the url of the entries makes things so much easier for me. & the code… thank you so much. I really need it. As of right now (before actually putting it onto my xanga), the title seems to blend in with the rest of my text. (So having a code that is able to change the font, size, and color of the title is definitely a big help.)

  • Got a question… Last night at about 6pm I had like 33comments and like 60eprops and the xanga homepage said I was 44 on the featured content list. I looked today and I wasn’t even on the list!!!??? What the heck is that about? I had more eprops then some of the people that are now on the list. Why did this happen?

  • We’ve started phasing in free photos for all Classic users! We’ll be giving out free photos in order of seniority… Everyone should have free photos by the end of November or so, but as of today (10/24/05)… If you joined Xanga before August 17, 2004 November 18, 2004, you now have 200MB of free photo storage space! Try it out!

    I usually write my entry in Traditional Chinese (Big5)
    but the title cant seem to disply Chinese characters

  • I also have an suggestion regarding the xanga ad
    I was wondering if u guyz can give us choices for the way the ad is diaplyed?
    What i mean is, I tried to make several layouts for my xanga in the past,
    and the ad almost always made my design look awkward or not what i had in mind.
    If it’s possible, could u guyz maybe move it to the bottom of the page, or give us the option of displying the ad as pop up, or like the old geocities ads(I guess u can count those ones as pop ups too, but they were the ones that were in a small window, and floats on top of the page. do u know what i’m talking about)? Another way is how Blogger does it—a (relatively) thin row of ad that floats on the very top of the page, right below the edge of the disply area of the browser.

    Could u please consider these suggestions? I dun mean for u guyz to take off the ad, just so that its displayed in a way that doesnt interfere with the design of the layout as much. Maybe that way there wont b as much ppl tryin to find codes to take off the ad anymore ^^~

  • im having some issues with my xanga…maybe u can help…my old xanga that i shut down the site on seems to be appearing back on my new xanga pretty wierd? then when i upload pics they say no pics upload and when i do upload and delete them some how my other pics from my other xanga pop up…my new xanga is wierd or is it suppose to b like that when i click public review i get a differnt color at the begging of my page?
